Yay!!! Hi Sunta!
This is great! I'm so glad you've figured it out. Help me help the others. Mom joined in just today.
So here's my news:
I have 5 fewer teeth than I did. That's the bad news. The good news is, I have one tooth that's better than it was, and several others that'll be back in perfect working order within a few weeks. Check me out, fixing all my teeth.
Interesting side note, for those of you related to Dad: My molars have hooked roots on the bottom and grow up into my sinuses on top. Apparently, this is a Stabile trait--makes it more difficult to work with, tends to make sinus and upper tooth problems more of an issue and causes exess bleeding/draining into the stomach. So BE FOREWARNED....
I handled the dentist ok, but looked truly scary for a while. Today? My god, today...I was so sick I had to leave work. I can't say I hadn't heard stories of people being sick after having wisdom teeth pulled, but I figured I'd had a tooth pulled before and yeah, the first day I felt awful, but by the next day I was fine--just sore. So I went to work anyway. I braved out the worst part, I'm tough, I had meds. Right?
Well. I was overconfident. Started throwing up around 7am, got the kids out the door and made it to work on time, still dizzy and nauseous. I couldn't keep anything down (apparently everything at the top of my head drained into my stomach. Very disgusting, kinda scary). Even talking set off another bout of nausea (which is bad, since that's mostly what I do all day). Between calls I kept trying to fall out of my chair (was passing out). Finally I just had to stop--what was coming up was bright red. Talked to my supervisor, he was totally cool with me leaving--I was obviously trying, and just as obviously not making it--even the customers were noticing something was wrong. So I dragged myself home, stopped fighting my body and crash hard. I've been asleep on and off most of today.
Moral of that story? I'm braver than I am tough. *laughs* That's always been a problem--I think I'm tougher than I am.
Tonight I'm much better. No more disgusting incidents, I can eat again and I can sit up for a while (thus, my presence here tonight). I'll be going to bed as soon as I upload some pics.
Night.
