We're So Gorgeous

One of the things I like best about our family is how incredibly different each one of us is. Take our kids, for example: they're all different shades, from golden-haired, pale-skinned Gareth on one end, to raven-headed, dark-skinned Jeremy on the other. And yet, they're all such handsome guys, it blows me away.
Amongst that generation, we have Irish, Scottish, Welsh, German, Cherokee, Chinese and Thai, Pakistani, Indian, maybe a little French, even. There's more, I know, but I just don't know enough about everyone's backgrounds. I particularly want to see more on John & Nicole's kids--they aren't being represented here and that's just wrong.

The point of a blog like this is to add to our communal experience. Write about the family--tell the stories, give the ancestries. It can only enrich us all.

Here are some miscellaneous pictures I figured I'd best upload while they were still timely. In no particular order, they were all taken in and around Northern Virgina, during the month of June, 2005.

No, they aren't making a fashion statement.
These two went to the premiere of Land of the Dead.

Jeremy is dancing with the Germans in Bavaria!!!! We are at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg VA and he is finishing up the chicken dance!!!!

Jeremy and I went to VA Beach on Wednesday and he got this beautiful hand painted tattoo... we will see how long it lasts 

Last one I promise... this was taken infront of the Glockenspiel at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, VA. We had a fab time there as well and Jeremy even rode the "Big Bad Wolf" roller coster. Wow, that was a doosey for me, but Jeremy rode it 3 more times!!! I guess that is what happens when you get older! 

My future aviator... Jeremy is wearing a stylish WWII vintage aviator jacket. He will not take it off in the 90 degree Virginia heat. He loves it. We went to the VA Air and Space Museum in Hampton VA on June 22,2005.

I took this picture of a bald eagle at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA... I just had to show it off, I thought it was rather good. 

The Children Jeremy, Emily and Gavin, are playing wildy when I ask for a quick photo on June 19th. As you can see Gavin is not amused... ha ha. 

Okay, the Big 4-0. Catered by Famous Daves, so I didn't have to cook. Randy and Cassie came with lots of great stuff and we all had a blast. Necklace on my neck is from Theresa (gotta love that Gemologist!!)

Now, I've been dieting and working out this past month. Here's the before...one month ago 

and here's the after...
Ok, ok, so I'm kinda scraggly looking...it was midnight, I was tired. The point is, HEY! CHECK ME OUT! I LOST 15 LBS THIS MONTH! WOOHOO!!!
I do clean up well. Keep scrolling and see what I can look like if I make more of an effort.

Here's the latest of me. I took this last night...a little solemn, but I think it's pretty decent.
Looking at these, I'm greatly encouraged and more committed than ever to this new diet. I'll try to post progress photos about this same time every month so you can track how I'm doing.

This came out so cool I decided to just leave it as it is. Gareth and Vincent, of course, doing what they do best--riding around for hours in Mom's van.
